Return & Refund Policy

Moonshade Apothecary LLC (“Moonshade,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) maintains strict hygiene, safety, and quality standards. Due to the handcrafted and personal care nature of our products, this Return & Refund Policy applies to all purchases made through our website.

By placing an order, you agree to the terms outlined below.


1. Refund Request Window

Refund requests must be submitted within 7 calendar days of confirmed delivery, as indicated by carrier tracking.

Requests submitted after 7 calendar days will not be reviewed.

Submitting a request does not guarantee approval.


2. No Physical Returns (Hygiene & Safety Policy)

Due to health, sanitation, and regulatory compliance requirements:

• Personal care products are not eligible for physical return
• Customers must not ship products back to Moonshade Apothecary
• Any unauthorized returns will be refused or discarded without refund

If a refund is approved, it will be processed without requiring product return.

This policy protects our customers and our production environment from contamination risks.


3. Eligibility for Refund Consideration

To be considered for a refund review:

• Proof of purchase is required
• The request must be submitted within the 7-day window
• The product must not show evidence of intentional misuse, abuse, or excessive use
• The order must comply with our Shipping Policy and Terms of Service

Moonshade Apothecary reserves sole discretion in determining eligibility.


4. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

Customers must notify us within 48 hours of delivery if an item arrives:

• Damaged
• Defective
• Incorrect

Include:

• Order number
• Clear photos or video of the item
• Photos of packaging and shipping materials

Failure to provide documentation within 48 hours may result in denial of the claim.

Approved claims may be resolved, at our discretion, through:

• Replacement
• Store credit
• Partial refund
• Full refund (subject to Section 6 below)


5. Non-Refundable Items (Final Sale)

The following are final sale and not eligible for refund or credit:

• Opened or used personal care products (unless defective)
• Sale, clearance, promotional, or discounted items
• Limited edition or seasonal releases
• Custom or made-to-order products
• Gift cards


6. Restocking & Processing Fee

All approved refunds are subject to a 20% restocking and processing fee, which will be deducted from the refund amount.

This fee accounts for:

• Small-batch handcrafted production costs
• Packaging and materials
• Payment processing fees
• Platform transaction fees
• Inventory loss on non-resalable goods

This fee does not apply where prohibited by law.


7. Shipping Costs

• Original shipping fees are non-refundable
• Local delivery fees are non-refundable
• Shipping charges will not be reimbursed unless required by law

If an order qualified for free shipping, the actual shipping cost may be deducted from the refund amount.


8. Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges.

Customers wishing to obtain a different item must place a new order.


9. Refund Processing

If a refund is approved:

• Refunds are issued to the original payment method only
• Processing occurs within 10 business days of approval
• Financial institutions may require additional time to post funds

10. European Union Customers

If an order is shipped to a European Union country, customers may have certain statutory rights under EU consumer protection law.

However:

• Hygiene products are exempt from withdrawal rights once opened
• Original shipping fees are non-refundable
• Products must not be physically returned unless required by applicable law
• Restocking fees may apply where legally permitted

Nothing in this policy limits rights that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.


11. Abuse & Fraud Prevention

Moonshade Apothecary reserves the right to:

• Deny refund requests that violate this policy
• Refuse service for excessive refund claims
• Cancel orders suspected of fraud or policy abuse
• Limit future purchases at our discretion


12. Relationship to Shipping Policy

Shipping-related issues are governed separately under our Shipping Policy.

Delivery confirmation by the carrier constitutes successful fulfillment unless otherwise determined at our discretion.


13. Policy Updates

Moonshade Apothecary LLC reserves the right to modify this Return & Refund Policy at any time without prior notice.

The most current version will always be posted on our website.
